We're are currently seeking an Accountant to join our Finance team in New York City. You will report directly to the Finance Manager of the Americas while working closely with our global finance team. 


This role will be responsible for accurate and timely reporting for Daniel Wellington Americas. As a member of both the regional team and the global finance team, you will be critical to the organizations success. You will be responsible for organizing, coordinating and supervising the day to day accountant operations, controlling and payroll. Responsibilities also include reconciliation of tax accounts and assisting in preparation of financial statements and reports of tax authorities.

Financial Management

  • Assure timely submission of accurate financial information to all stakeholders (e.g. tax authorities, other local authorities).
  • Assist Finance Manager in planning and managing cash flow for the business. 
  • Supporting the global finance team in the year-end audit process.
  • Ensuring compliance with local tax and accounting legislation as well as internal group accounting guidelines.


  • Manage the accounts payable and the accounts receivable. 
  • Supervise the bank statement postings as well as the reconciliation of the bank accounts and petty cash.
  • Reconciliation of all tax accounts.
  • Maintain the general ledger.

Period Closing 

  • Responsible for the timely compilation of the monthly and annual closings including the communication of the closing timetable within the organization
  • Carry out depreciation runs, post all accrual and deferral entries as well as revaluations, write-offs and provisions.
  • Reconcile all clearing and inter-company accounts and prepare the annual statutory financial statements.
  • Together with Financial Manager. conducting thorough review of all monthly reports and financial statements prior to the submission to HQ or authorities, making corrections as needed.


You are amazing at managing your prioritizes while working with multiple stakeholders in different departments. You have strong organizational and interpersonal skills. 

  • Bachelor's degree with specialization in Accounting
  • Preferably 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience 
  • Experience from Microsoft NAV Dynamics is a plus 
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Great analytical skills 
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
