Project Manager, Retail Development

We have plans to grow our brick and mortar footprint and we need help building it. As Project Manager, Retail Development, you are responsible for leading new store buildouts from design development, bidding, permitting, construction and hand-off to the retail team. You will help develop our processes, vendor network and be on the ground floor of the small, but ever-growing retail team at Daniel Wellington. This role will be accountable for budgeting, timelines and successful build outs of Daniel Wellington stores all over the Americas.  


What You’ll Be Up To: 

·       Manage construction projects for all retail locations

·       Assist with due diligence on real estate sourcing to ensure building condition, dimensions, engineering, layouts and utilities are suitable to get the retail location up and running! 

·       Research neighborhoods and other retailers in the area 

·       Negotiate all contractor and building contracts, finding the best solutions and costs possible

·       Collaborating closely with global retail team, brand, 3rd party architects + general contractors, landlords, and other involved parties from design development through delivery to retail team.  

·       Develop and model out project level budgets and timelines for approvals and retail build out

·       Once scope of work is received, prepare bids and send to contractors (when applicable), manage RFI’s and shop drawing approvals, level and negotiate bids and award contracts. 


Who You Are: 

·       2+ years of retail construction project management 

·       Extremely detailed and organized to manage multiple projects in an entrepreneurial environment 

·    Strong spreadsheet and budgeting skills

·       Has an eye for design with the ability to make decisions on the fly while on-site 

·       Ability to create and document processes from scratch setting the grounds for future projects  

·       Experience with vendors/brokers and the ability to manage parties both internally and externally  

·       Has a strong understanding for architectural drawings and construction site management 

·       Bi-lingual; English and Spanish speaking is a plus

·       Willing to travel
